Distribution mission
Tai Bo has been involved in the distribution of Overseas Films
& Television programs in China since 1997.
We have successfully acquired media from America and many
European countries for distribution throughout Asia, with a consistently
positive track record. Tai Bo operates in full accordance with the International
intellectual property rights laws and pushes forward, putting first and foremost
the ideals of integrity, diligence and honesty when it comes to business.
We have just begun distributing Chinese films and TV programs to
the rest of the world. We have established solid relationships with many
production companies in China, and have secured the rights to distribute their
output, with the legitimate rights holders. And by establishing connections with
overseas distributors, we have thereby created a window to China's vast cache of
many previously unreleased film & TV programs for international
release.
2005 saw China celebrating "100 years of film making", which
means there are 100 years worth of cinema, much of which has never been seen let
alone released outside of China. Tai Bo has access to these unseen treasures.
Taking into account modern trends, we understand that this is a small yet
growing market and we have thousands of titles that span all genres. IN addition
we have contracts with many first run films and television series, so we
continually have new media coming in. Tai Bo has begun with the action genre as
it is historically the best selling genre worldwide, and with China being the
leading producer of Acton films and television in the world today, China is the
place to go.
Production Mission Statement.
Tai Bo is a fully functional production house; we have access
to China's best talent and resources both in front of and behind the
camera.
With a globally minded production team made up of experienced
team members from across the world, we are able to create projects that target
the widest possible audience and give the viewer the best possible
experience.
Small Films-
Tai Bo is currently shooting a series of "lower-budgeted" but
"high production value" films that will be given an initial release in China,
before being distributed internationally. We have planned a series of projects
that will have the highest impact on China and the global audience while being
produced at a lower budget.
TV Series-
Tai Bo is currently producing and distributing television series
for release in China, and eventually the international marketplace.
China Financed Large Budget Features-
Tai Bo has developed several scripts for large-scale productions
that will be released initially in China, but will also be appealing to the
international market. We have taken into account that what is good for China may
not always be good for the rest of the world and vice-versa. So using Hollywood
story structure as a model we have spent several years researching story
concepts that can satisfy both the Chinese & Global communities equally.
These projects will help to serve as a cross-cultural exchange, introducing
elements of Chinese culture to the world, and global elements into China.
Co-Production Mission Statement.
Being a globally manned and minded company, one of the main
goals of Tai Bo is to open up China to the rest of the world, as a prime filming
location. As Chinese law has not currently developed to the point where foreign
companies can independently produce their own projects in China, the first major
step is co-production. Tai Bo can offer co-funding for International projects
and/or also host overseas production companies and offer line production
services.
